English Translation / Meaning
Upon his moon-like face, let two musk-dark locks fall; The day is bright, yet at the dawn it seems as though evening has descended. Through his blessed steps, the sun and moon seem adorned with added splendour; Their radiance belongs to him, and their names are associated with him. From the hands of the four companions, we shall receive four cups; From the hands of Hasan and Husain, may we receive two more cups. Across his noble forehead, a dark lock of hair has spread; Dawn and evening seem gathered together at one moment. Hasan and Husain belong to the noble family associated with Mustafa; They are connected to the household of the one Prophet, and bear honoured names. Now call me to Madinah and let me behold the Green Dome; Hamid and Mustafa, in your Hindustan, are devoted servants. May God bring that blessed day when He lets us see both sacred sanctuaries; May we travel there and drink from Zamzam and the well associated with Fatimah.
