Using Action Words with People

Building Simple Sentences
We can combine a naming word with an action word to make a simple sentence.
dog is the naming word and runs is the action word.
girl is the naming word and reads is the action word.

We should choose an action word that makes sense with the person or animal in the sentence.

Making Sentences About Everyday Actions
I eat food.

Common Mistakes
- Choose an action that makes sense in the sentence.
- Do not use a naming word when an action word is needed.
- Read the whole sentence before choosing the answer.
- Remember to begin a sentence with a capital letter.
- Remember to use a full stop at the end of a simple sentence.
